San Francisco is usually a fixed back-friendly city. Hipster, peaceniks, folk singer, Stoner's and whackos, all live together in perfect harmony.
But on Tuesday, San Francisco was adopted new legislation which is not so lovey dovey-, at least not for the local fast food restaurants.
"Children's meals" can no longer be sold with toys unless they meet specific nutritional standards.standards that can threaten the McDonald's Happy meals.
On Tuesday, 8-3, San Francisco officials adopted a law that would allow restaurants to give away toys with children's meals only if the food contains less than 600 calories, veto-proof vote contains fruit and vegetables, and include drinks without too much fat or sugar; Act enters into force on December 1, 2011.
The first thing that comes to mind is McDonald's Happy meals. Since 1979, when it was introduced only good food, McDonalds children's meal, especially free toy, directly on the market to children.
